Tao Xu
Director
Tao is a passionate entrepreneur and investor with a background in financial risk data analysis in the banking industry. In 2017, Tao founded Tao Xu Consultancy, which rapidly became a successful and well-regarded firm in its sector, earning strong references along the way. In addition to a successful career in banking, Tao is deeply interested in investment strategies in property:
"Real estate represents the most profitable asset class among all types of investments."
Tao's initial foray into property began with a portfolio of high-return Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) across Amsterdam and England. This passion for property deals eventually led to the establishment of TX Development, a company dedicated to transforming underutilised commercial and industrial spaces into vibrant living spaces.

Jabe Dennis
Senior Project Manager
Jabe holds a Business Management and Construction degree from the University of Manchester. Following his studies, he joined Lloyds Banking Group, where he worked on bank refurbishment projects. He later transitioned to a civil engineering company, gaining four years of valuable industry experience.
Jabe's career then took him to Australia, where he was promoted to Director in a civil engineering firm. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jabe was also a professional rugby player. With 14 years of industry experience, Jabe is a highly skilled and integral member of our team, bringing a wealth of expertise and leadership to the business.


Andrew North
Commercial Manager
Andrew began his journey in the construction industry at just 16 years old as a trainee quantity surveyor. He quickly progressed to working with medium-sized construction companies before moving to a development firm in Leeds City Centre, where he spent 20 years specialising in property development, both commercial and domestic.
During this time, Andrew also built and expanded his own property portfolio, gaining extensive knowledge and experience in the UK property market.
Now, as the Commercial Manager with PJ Building and Development, Andrew brings a wealth of expertise to the team, contributing his deep understanding of property development and investment to support the company’s continued success.

Monarch House
Monarch House, a development dating back to the 1890s, originally served as a wine and spirit merchants and later housed various catering businesses. Now, located in the heart of Wakefield city centre, this historic building has been meticulously transformed into modern apartments while preserving its rich architectural heritage.
The renovation works included a complete reroofing, T demolition, tanking of the lower ground floor, and the addition of a mezzanine level. New stud walls were installed throughout, and standout features such as a communal wraparound staircase and historic mouldings were carefully restored, adding character to the building. Completed and sold this year, Monarch House exemplifies our commitment to creating high-quality, historically detailed developments, and we look forward to achieving similar success with our other apartment complexes. Carlton House
Carlton House is an 8-apartment development located in the prestigious St. Johns area of central Wakefield (WF1), transformed from a Grade II listed office building into stylish residential apartments.
The conversion comprises 2 duplex houses, 5 two-bedroom apartments, and 1 one-bedroom apartment, all completed to a high specification and fully tenanted. Each apartment benefits from two designated car parking spaces.
The project involved a comprehensive redevelopment, including full demolition of the internal layout, construction of new stud walls, and installation of premium kitchens and fully tiled bathroom suites. The interiors were thoughtfully decorated using heritage-approved colors to preserve the building's historical character. Additionally, all windows were replaced in accordance with heritage regulations, maintaining the architectural integrity of this historic property. The timeline encompasses design, construction, and final handover, with factors such as site conditions and market dynamics potentially impacting the duration. The timeframe varies based on the scale and complexity of the project. For developments comprising 4 to 20 apartments or houses, the process typically takes 12 to 18 months.
